Song Chords
Hello everyone,
I figured that I'd start a thread for Guitar Chords... Maybe Ray can help us out a bit too? (Can't win the lotto if ya don't play..lol)
Any ideas on the chords for "Like Rock and Roll and the Radio?" I'm hearing capo 2nd or 3rd fret... C, G, C, G. Walk-ups on the G?
Also, "New York City's Killing Me" chords??
Anyone?
I have info for most of the other albums if ya have any questions. Not saying it's accurate; but what I hear while playing.
Thanks,
Jack

I forgot to play Lotto today, I usually try to get at least a few tickets. Yeah I'm thinking maybe he could make a tutorial of one of his songs possible, cause there are not tutorials on youtube. in Acoustic Guitar Magazine of 2010, they have one of his song in there called "Are We Really Through" I love the sound of that song. If I can learn how to play it I will put a tutorial on youtube. This guitar, is just amazing, and it can be very beautiful if you know how to play it. I don't have a capo yet though. I will have to get one asap.
In additon, I was going back to his influences like Steve Steals, My Morning Jacket and The Black Keys.
That would be a great idea, I would love play "Trouble" and it's such an amazing song, and he used like basic chords, without a Capo. I'm going to have to get a capo cause I can't play barre chords yet. I have been just trying to practice. I found the Acoustic Guitar Magazine with the song "Are We Really Through" But, am a person, who can't really read guitar music well in a book. I don't know maybe I'm not taking enough time to study it. But, I would love to try to play it. I have always wanted to play "St. Patrick's Day" by John Mayer, but that is the most complicated song. But, I could possibly use that same strumming pattern, like Paramore's "Only Exception"
I'm pretty sure that the new guitar he's playing is either in a different Key or he's always playing it tuned down. Am I correct in that? I've tried playing 'Are We Really Through' at the same frets he's playing it live and it's definitely off. I saw at one of the same shows that he played all of his new songs, him playing Trouble and he used a different guitar than the one he played all the new songs with. Either way, I'm glad to see people talking about tabs and such on here. I'll weigh in when I can and check back often. The new album is pure gold!
Wow, didn't see those shots yet! Very nice chord display. Thanks for the reply/write up.

I think this is pretty close:
G
Are you still in love with me
Cadd9 G Cadd9
Like the way you used to be or is it changing?
G
Does it deepen over time
G Cadd9
Like the river that is winding through the canyon?
VERSE 2:
G
Are you still in love with her?
Cadd9 G Cadd9
Do you remember how you were before the sorrow?
G
Are you closer for the tears
Cadd9 G Cadd9
Or has the weight of all the years left you hollow?
CHORUS:
G D/F#
Are we strangers now?
Cadd9
Like the Ziegfeld Gal and the Vaudeville show?
G D/F#
Are we strangers now
Cadd9 G Cadd9
Like rock and roll and the radio?
G Cadd9
Like rock and roll and radio
VERSE 3:
G
I can see you lyin' there
Cadd9 G Cadd9
Tying ribbons in your hair and pullin' faces
G
I can feel your hand in mine
Cadd9 G Cadd9
Though we’re living separate lives in separate places
(CHORUS)
BRIDGE:
Cadd9 Em D/F# Cadd9
All these white lies hanging like flies on the wall
Em D/F#
Hard wired, road tired
Cadd9
Counting curtain calls and waiting
G Cadd9 G Cadd9
Waiting for the axe to fall
VERSE:
G
Are you still in love with me
Cadd9 G Cadd9
Like the way you used to be or is it changing?
G
Does it deepen over time
Cadd9 G Cadd9
Like the river that is winding through the canyon?
